What it is

  • A Tendai sect Buddhist temple.
  • Founded in 933 by Chizō.
  • Located at the southern foot of Mount Kōza.
  • Its mountain name is Tōmyōzan.

  • Twelve Deva images from the Muromachi period.
  • Sorori Sōhachi's sword, also from Muromachi period.
  • A wooden seated Yakushi Nyorai statue from the Heian period.
