Kōzō-ji Temple: a historic Tendai temple with ancient Buddhist art, a short walk from the station.
What it is
- A Tendai sect Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 933 by Chizō.
- Located at the southern foot of Mount Kōza.
- Its mountain name is Tōmyōzan.

- Twelve Deva images from the Muromachi period.
- Sorori Sōhachi's sword, also from Muromachi period.
- A wooden seated Yakushi Nyorai statue from the Heian period.
