Kuchira Shrine

What it is

• A sessha, or auxiliary shrine, of Ise Grand Shrine's Inner Shrine.
• Dedicated to Chiyorihime-no-mikoto and Chiyorihiko-no-mikoto.
• Deities are guardians of fields.
• Re-established on September 30, 1663.

• A small shrine building, 1.8m long and 1.2m wide.
• The sacred body of the shrine is a stone.
• Shrine grounds cover 3,898 square meters.
