熊野神社 (高島市)
Kumano Shrine is a historic site, but currently inaccessible for worship due to wildlife protection.
What it is
- A Shikinaisha shrine in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture.
- Originally located in Nose, Kumano-yama along Akatsuki Road.
- Rebuilt in 823 according to shrine tradition.
- Moved to its current location during the Eisho era (1504-1521).
What to see
- Currently not accessible for worship.
- A fence for wildlife protection blocks access.
