Kurakake Shrine is a historic shrine with the region's oldest buildings, rebuilt after a 17th-century fire.
What it is
- A shrine founded in 822.
- Originally known as Kurakake Daimyojin.
- Destroyed by fire in 1690, rebuilt in 1691.
- Designated a Niigata Prefectural Cultural Property.
