Mishima Shrine is a historic site in Sagamihara with a unique annual festival.
What it is
- A child of Kono Michinobu lived here after Jokyu War.
- Ippen founded Muryoko-ji Temple here.
- Mishima Daigongen was enshrined at that time.
- Kamegaike Hachimangu chief priest also serves here.
When to go
- Annual festival is held on November 15th.
- Muryoko-ji Temple priest performs sutra chanting.
- Thinly sliced daikon is served at the festival.
- Chopsticks made from bamboo are offered.
