Mitsuishi Shrine is a historic Kobe shrine dedicated to ancient deities, easily accessible for a quick visit.
What it is
- Shrine dedicated to Jingu Kogo, Amaterasu Omikami, Susanoo Omikami.
- Empress Suiko performed misogi here in 602.
- Gyoki built the original shrine for Jingu Kogo's spirit.
- Renamed Mitsuishi Okami in 1593.
