Mount Asahi

What it is

• A mountain standing 598.1 meters tall in the Minami-ku district of Sapporo.
• Named by Heihachi Tashiro during the late Meiji era.
• Known as the first location in the area to receive the morning sunlight.
• Located directly to the west of the Jozankei Onsen hot spring resort.

• The Iwato Park climbing course which begins near the Iwato Kannon-do temple.
