A 35-meter peak in Akita City certified as Japan's lowest Mount Fuji, located within a neighborhood park.
What it is
- A mountain standing 35 meters tall commonly known as Myoden Fuji
- The Japan Alpine Club certified it as the lowest Mount Fuji in Japan
- The area is currently maintained as Narayama Myoden Neighborhood Park
- Soil from this site was used to build the Kubota Castle town
What to see
- Aketa Inari Daimyojin shrine located on the mountainside
- Fuji Daigongen shrine located at the summit
- A signpost at the summit marking its status as the lowest Fuji
- The remaining mountain which is one quarter of its original size

- Ten minute walk from the Akita Station East Exit
