Mount Kamui

What it is

• A 1,600-meter peak located within the Hidaka Sanmyaku-Erimo-Tokachi National Park.
• One of Japan's 300 Famous Mountains situated in southern Hokkaido.
• Named Kamui Nupuri in the Ainu language, meaning mountain of the gods.
• Part of the Minami Hidaka Sanzan group bordering Mount Soematsu and Mount Pirika Nupuri.
