A historical mountain featuring sixteenth-century castle ruins, ancient burial mounds, and a park dedicated to regional Awa history.
What it is
- A 212.3 meter tall mountain bordering Tokushima City and Ishii Town.
- Named by Minamoto no Yoshitsune in 1185 during the Genpei War.
- Site of the sixteenth-century Yano Castle ruins built by Yano Kunimura.
- Location of the original Yakura Hime Shrine at the mountain summit.
