Mount Ko

What it is

• A 131-meter mountain in Matsusaka City formerly known as Mount Watase.
• Site of Koyama Castle which was built in 1337 and fell in 1343.
• Home to Ichijo-ji Temple which was founded by Prince Shotoku.
• Location of Iinotakamiya Koyama Shrine situated at the foot of the mountain.
