Mount Ōbami

What it is

• A 3,101-meter peak located on the border of Nagano and Gifu prefectures
• The tenth highest mountain in Japan and part of the southern Hida Mountains
• A protected area situated within the Chubu Sangaku National Park
• The summit was first officially reached by Masao Udono in 1909

• A gravel summit area located high above the forest line
• Glacial cirque topography visible on the eastern slope of the mountain
