Mount Ōbora

A dual-peak mountain in the Muroo Volcanic Group offering hiking trails, a campsite, and a nationally designated scenic temple approach.
What it is
- A mountain in the Muroo Volcanic Group consisting of two peaks named Odake and Medake
- Part of the Muroo-Akame-Aoyama Quasi-National Park and one of the Kansai 100 Mountains
- The higher peak Odake stands at 1013 meters while Medake stands at 985 meters
What to see
- The Tokai Nature Trail which runs across the mountainside for hikers
- A triangulation point located at the summit of the Medake peak
- Skyland Obora campsite situated at an elevation of 700 meters
- The Shinfuku-in temple approach which is a nationally designated scenic spot
