Mount Tabashine

A 595-meter mountain peak near Hiraizumi featuring historic shrines, Buddhist relics, and seasonal floral displays.
What it is
- A mountain peak bordering Hiraizumi, Oshu, and Ichinoseki reaching 594.9 meters.
- Comprised of three distinct peaks named Mount Kyozuka, Mount Otowa, and Mount Tabashine.
- Designated as a Japanese Heritage of Agriculture site in 2023.
- Home to Gassan Shrine, established by the wife of Fujiwara Yasuhira.

- A statue of Aテルイ located at the mountain trailhead.
