Mount Yari

What it is

• A 2,903-meter peak located on the border of Nagano and Toyama prefectures
• Part of the Shirouma Sanzan group within the Ushiro-Tateyama mountain range
• Commonly called Shirouma Yarigatake to distinguish it from other similarly named peaks
• A mountain featuring unique limestone outcrops located directly below the summit

• Limestone formations and trilobite fossils found near the mountain top
• The Shirouma Yari Onsen Hut located in the vicinity of the peak
• Views of nearby peaks including Mount Karamatsu and Mount Shakushi
