What it is

  • A 1,312-meter mountain located on the border of Mima and Tsurugi.
  • One of the Shikoku 100 Famous Mountains in the northern Tsurugi range.
  • The site of Hachimen Shrine which enshrines the deity Onamuchi-no-Mikoto.
  • A geological site composed primarily of pelitic schist with steep southern cliffs.

What to see

  • Unobstructed views in all four directions from the mountain summit.
  • A second-class triangulation point located at the highest peak.
  • Hachimen Shrine situated near the top of the mountain.
  • A natural forest of fir and deciduous trees remaining at the summit.
