What it is

  • A 2,830-meter peak located within the Yatsugatake-Chushin Kogen Quasi-National Park.
  • The second highest mountain in the Southern Yatsugatake range.
  • A summit also known as Okunoin consisting of several small jagged ridges.
  • A destination for rock and ice climbing at the Daidoshin and Kodoshin sites.

  • Jagged mountain ridges frequently subject to dense fog and strong winds.
  • The Somazoe Ridge trail which approaches the peak from the Saku side.
  • A longitudinal trail connecting the summit to Mount Aka and Mount Io.
