Myochi-ji is a Nichiren Buddhist temple with a historic gate, rebuilt after fires.
What it is
- A Nichiren Buddhist temple.
- Known as the temple of Reizan Kishi Kosodate Kishimojin.
- Converted to the Nichiren sect in 1375.
- Its sangō (mountain name) is Honkyōzan.
What to see
- The main hall, rebuilt in 2008.
- The Sanmon gate, dating to the 16th century.
- The Sanmon gate survived two fires.
