Myogyo-ji is a historic Nichiren temple with unique natural monuments, worth visiting for its serene beauty.

- A Nichiren sect temple, founded as Tōeizan Shinjō-ji.
- Converted to Nichiren sect in 1408 by Nichi'ei.
- Known as Kaya-no-ki-no-tera, the 'Nutmeg Tree Temple'.
