Nakagawa Shrine

What it is

• A village shrine dedicated to three deities.
• It is the tutelary deity of Nakatsugawa City.
• Formerly known as Hakusan-sha or Susukino-mori.
• Became a village shrine in 1873.

What to see

• The current main hall, rebuilt in 1677.
• Worship hall and naorai-den, rebuilt in 2002.

When to go

• Annual festival on the second Sunday of April.
• See Nakatsugawa Taiko and Jindai Shishi at the festival.
