A historic Saitama shrine enshrining Onamuchi-no-mikoto, featuring ancient monuments and cultural properties from the Edo and Meiji eras.
What it is
- A Shinto shrine enshrining the deities Onamuchi-no-mikoto and Sukunabikona-no-mikoto.
- Formerly known as Nagamiya Myojinsha during the Edo period.
- Renamed to Nakahikawa Shrine during the early Meiji era.
- Granted red seal land by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1591.
