Nanzō-in Temple

Nanzō-in Temple is a historic Shingon-shu temple with an ancient tree, worth visiting for its tranquil grounds.
What it is
- A temple of the Shingon-shu Chizan-ha sect.
- Founded in the year 1596.
- Became a branch temple of Kissho-in in 1646.
- Restored by Kaiin.
What to see
- A large tabu tree called Nanjamonja.
- The tree is several hundred years old.
