Niden-ji Temple

Niden-ji is a historic Jodo-shu temple with significant statues and burial mounds.
What it is
- A Jodo-shu Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 1505 by Shoku.
- Restored by Matsudaira Masatsugu.
- Hojo Ujitoki was the Kaki of the temple.
What to see
- The main object of worship is the Amida Sanzon.
- Central Amida Nyorai statue is 51.5 cm tall.
- Flanking bodhisattvas created in 1706.
- Kannon Bosatsu statue is 66.5 cm tall.
- Seishi Bosatsu statue is 66.4 cm tall.
- Three burial mounds on the temple mountain.
