Nyogan-ji Temple

What it is

• It is a Shingon-shu Omuro-ha temple.
• Founded by Shotoku Taishi during Emperor Yomei's reign.
• Kukai rebuilt it in 817, renaming it Nyo-gan-ji.

• The current main hall was rebuilt during the Kyoho era.
• Main hall enshrines a Sho Kannon Bosatsu statue.
