What it is

  • A Nichiren-shu temple, founded about 1000 years ago.
  • Originally founded by Kenyu Hoshi of Shingon-shu.
  • Converted to Hokke-shu in 1470 with Sakai Sadataka's help.
  • Stands on the former site of Tonoyatsu Castle.
