Odai Agata Shrine is an ancient shrine in Toyooka, significant for its history and a major summer festival.

What it is

  • An ancient shrine, designated Kanja in 842.
  • Listed in the Engishiki Jinmyocho in 905.
  • One of the Tajima Gosha, enshrining Kunitsukuri Onamuchi no Mikoto.
  • Rebuilt between 1684 and 1687, relocated in 1931.
