Odai Agata Shrine

What it is

• An ancient shrine, designated Kanja in 842.
• Listed in the Engishiki Jinmyocho in 905.
• One of the Tajima Gosha, enshrining Kunitsukuri Onamuchi no Mikoto.
• Rebuilt between 1684 and 1687, relocated in 1931.

• The main shrine buildings, rebuilt in the late 17th century.
• Yanaginomiya Shrine, a subsidiary shrine on the grounds.

• August 1st and 2nd for the Toyooka Yanagi Festival.
• The festival is the largest in urban Toyooka City.
