Ooishi Shrine
大石神社
Ooishi Shrine is a historic guardian shrine with unique sacred stones and ancient trees.
What it is
- Guardian shrine of Nagatsuta, with Oji Shrine.
- Dedicated to Ooishi Okami, Shinmei Okami, and Inari Okami.
- Repaired in 1694, new building constructed in 1752.
- Damaged by the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923.

- Sacred object is an uncarved natural andesite stone.
- Stone is 135 cm high and 110 cm wide.
- Two fir trees and five Japanese evergreen oaks.
- Designated as Yokohama City's famous old trees.
- One of the Ten Scenic Views of Nagatsuta.
