Oomura Shrine honors local lords and historical figures, notable for its ancient cherry trees.
What it is
- Shrine dedicated to seven generations of Omura clan lords.
- Also enshrines Fujiwara no Kamatari and Fujiwara no Sumitomo.
- Originated in 1805, moved to Kushima Castle site in 1884.
- Formerly a Prefectural Shrine, received land in 1955.
