Osake Shrine honors ancient figures and hosts one of Kyoto's unique festivals, worth a visit for its cultural significance.
What it is
- A Shikinaisha shrine in Kyoto's Ukyo Ward.
- Dedicated to Qin Shi Huang, Yuzuki no Kimi, and Hata no Sake no Kimi.
- Also enshrines Ehime no Mikoto and Otohime no Mikoto.
- It was the tutelary deity of the Hata clan.
