Ōtabujima
大多府島
A historic island in Bizen featuring a 17th-century breakwater, a wooden lighthouse, and unique coastal rock formations.
What it is
- A populated island in Bizen City established as a port by the Okayama Domain in 1698.
- Home to a stone breakwater from the Genroku era registered as a Tangible Cultural Property.
- Site of the Kasuga Shrine which was founded on the island in 1707.
