Ikisu Shrine is a historic shrine with sacred springs, worth visiting for its ancient roots and unique features.
What it is
- A Kokushi Kenzaisha shrine, one of the Higashi-Kuni Sansha.
- Dedicated to the deity Kunado-no-kami.
- Relocated to its present site in 807 AD.
- Formerly a Prefectural Shrine, listed in 1877.
