Hachiman Shrine: a historic 15th-century shrine, home to a Lucky God, easily accessible from Koga Station.
What it is
- Founded in 1455 by Ashikaga Shigeuji.
- Dedicated to the deity Hachiman-jin (Homudawake-no-mikoto).
- Also known as Suwa Hachiman Shrine.
- Part of the Koga Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimage.
What to see
- Main hall is Shinmei-zukuri style, facing east.
- Hoteison, one of the Lucky Gods, is enshrined here.
