Myōraku-ji Temple
妙楽寺
Myorakuji, or Ajisai-dera, is a Tendai temple known for its historic artifacts and 1000 hydrangea plants.
What it is
- Tendai sect temple, also known as Ajisai-dera.
- Founded as Ikouji in 851 by Ennin.
- Given to Ano Zensho in 1180 by Minamoto no Yoritomo.
- Sango is Nagao-san.
