A historic maritime shrine in Kurihama where the first Kamakura shogun prayed for victory and safe childbirth.
What it is
- A Shinto shrine located on the south side of Kurihama Port.
- Dedicated to the deity Nakatsutsuo no Mikoto for maritime safety.
- Formerly known as Kurihama Daimyojin and currently managed by Yokosuka Suwa Shrine.
- A site of historical significance recorded in the medieval chronicle Azuma Kagami.
