Kawara Shrine is an ancient Ise Grand Shrine dedicated to the guardian god of Miyagawa River.

- Established by Yamato Hime-no-mikoto.
- Dedicated to Tsukuyomi-no-mikoto-no-mitama.
- Founded before 927 AD.
