  • Predecessor temple built between 729-749.
  • Suffered three fires, including one by Oda Nobunaga.
  • The 12th temple of the Izumi Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage.

  • Statue is said to be from the Nara period.
  • Statue's head was repaired in the Edo period.
