Ryūun-ji Temple

Ryūun-ji is a historic Rinzai Zen temple in Tokyo, rebuilt after an earthquake, with notable graves.
What it is
- Rinzai school Myōshin-ji branch temple.
- Founded in 1699 by Setsugai.
- Declined after the 1855 Ansei earthquake.
What to see
- Main image is a Shō Kannon Bosatsu statue by Bankei.
- Main hall completed in 1965.
- Cemetery contains graves of Shigeru Amachi and Tetsuharu Kawakami.
