Raigō-in Temple is a historic Shingon temple with important cultural properties and a beautiful garden.
What it is
- A Shingon sect temple, sub-temple of Sennyū-ji Temple.
- Founded in 806 by Kūkai.
- Rebuilt in 1574 with aid from Oda Nobunaga.
- Ōishi Yoshio used the temple for secret meetings.
