What it is

  • A Tendai sect temple, founded as Toeizan Rinnoji.
  • Principal image is Amitabha Nyorai.
  • Commonly known as Ryodaishi, enshrining Tenkai and Ryogen.

  • The current main hall, rebuilt in 1993.
  • Former Main Gate of Kaneiji, an Important Cultural Property.
  • A bell from 1651 in front of the main hall.
  • Wooden seated statue of Tenkai Sojo, a Tokyo cultural property.

  • Situated east of the Tokyo National Museum.
