Ryōchō-in Temple
亮朝院
Ryochoin is a historic Nichiren-shu temple, once a prayer site for the Tokugawa Shogunate.
What it is
- A Nichiren-shu temple, formally named Nyoi-zan Eiryoji.
- Commonly known as Takada no Shichimendo.
- Designated a prayer temple by Tokugawa Ietsuna in 1655.
- Flourished as a prayer temple for the Tokugawa Shogunate.

- A bell tower built in 1702.
