What it is
- A temple of the Rinzai Zen Myōshin-ji school.
- Founded by Matsumine Inni, daughter of Uesugi Sadakatsu.
- Adopted the name Ryūgen-ji in 1739.
- Revived in the 18th century by Okudaira Masanari.
