Saiei-ji Temple
西栄寺
Saiei-ji Temple is a merged temple with a unique Kannon statue, worth visiting for its history.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha sect temple.
- Formed in 1953 by merging two older temples.
- Saifuku-ji was founded in 1484.
- Saien-ji was founded in 1515.
What to see
- A standing Kannon Bosatsu statue.
- The statue is nicknamed "Asanebo Kannon."
