Saigan-ji Temple

Saigan-ji Temple, or Aburakake Jizo, is a historic Jodo-shu temple with a unique Jizo statue.
What it is
- A Jodo-shu Buddhist temple founded in 1590.
- Popularly known as Aburakake Jizo.
- Its mountain name is Aburakakezan, temple name Jizoin.
What to see
- The Jizo-do hall survived a 1868 fire.
- A stone Jizo statue from the Kamakura period.
- A haiku monument by Matsuo Basho.

- 7-minute walk from Chushojima Station.
- Chushojima Station is on the Keihan Main Line.
