Saishō-in Temple
最勝院
Saishoin is a historic temple with a connection to a famous poet, easily accessible by train.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha Buddhist temple.
- Founded in the year 1592.
- Restored in 1741, with a new main image.
- Became a branch temple of Ryusenji in 1783.

- The main image and its zushi, made in 1741.
- A Daishido hall on the temple grounds.
- The rebuilt Daishido hall from 1904.
