Saishō-in Temple
最勝院
Saishō-in Temple is a historic Buddhist site with a unique main image, easily accessible from Kasukabe Station.
What it is
- A temple of the Shingon-shu Chizan-ha sect.
- Chōson named the temple Saishō-in in 1504.
- Originally a Tendai sect temple, later converted.
What to see
- The main image is a Senju Kannon.
- The main image survived a fire in 1899.
