Saminaga Shrine

Saminaga Shrine is an ancient, unusual Ise Jingu shrine worth visiting for its unique architecture.
What it is
- A subordinate shrine of Izawa-no-miya.
- Dedicated to the deity Ootoshi-no-kami.
- Unusual for an Ise Jingu shrine, it faces east.
- Artifacts from Jomon to Kofun periods were excavated here.

- Shrine building in Shinmei-zukuri style with a thatched roof.
