Seikan-ji Temple

Seikan-ji Temple is a historic Jodo sect temple with a serene atmosphere, rebuilt after a flood.
What it is
- A Jodo sect temple.
- Founded in 1191 by Hōnen as Nenbutsu Zanmai-dō.
- Renamed Shōjōkan-in in 1357 by Ashikaga Yoshiakira.
- Rebuilt and moved to current site in 1763 after a flood.

- The principal image is Amida Nyorai.
- It is the 77th sacred site of Mino New Shikoku.
