Sengen-ji Temple
千眼寺
Sengen-ji Temple is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple rebuilt after fire, a short walk from Tatebayashi Station.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha Buddhist temple.
- Founded by Eiben in 1232.
- Was a direct temple of Daikaku-ji Temple.
- Rebuilt in 1893 after an 1882 fire.

- The current main hall, built in 2019.
