Senju-in Temple
千手院
Senju-in is an ancient Tendai temple with a unique pine tree and important Buddhist images.
What it is
- A Tendai-shu temple in Sakuho Town, Nagano Prefecture.
- Founded by Ennin between 851 and 854 AD.
- Principal image is Senju Kannon Bosatsu.
- One of Japan's Three Tsugane-dera Temples.
