Ancient Shigariwake Shrine, northernmost of its kind, offers a peaceful visit among old cherry trees.
What it is
- An ancient Shikinaisha shrine, founded in 804 AD.
- Also known as Akaishi Shrine and Ukishima Myojin.
- Enshrines Futsunushi-no-kami and Takemikazuchi-no-kami.
- It is the northernmost Shikinaisha shrine.

- The approach lined with about 30 cherry trees.
- A 500-year-old cherry tree, a natural monument.
